Anu Chitikineni is a Senior Science Manager with Western Australian State Agricultural Biotechnology Centre and Centre for Crop & Food Innovation at Murdoch University, Australia. She is a next-generation sequencing and high-throughput genotyping expert and possesses 20+ years’ experience in R&D and managerial experience in cutting-edge science i.e. modern genomics, molecular breeding, diagnostics, etc., in a number of leading international and national research institutes as well as in contract research industry. Anu, at present, manages and contributes to research projects dealing with next-generation sequencing data for genome assemblies, pangenomics, germplasm characterization, and pre-breeding with a final objective of accelerating genetic gains in wheat, legume, and horticultural crops. With an h-index of 37 and >4900 citations, she has published about 70 papers in international journals of repute, including Nature, Nature Biotechnology, and Nature Genetics and co-edited one book with Springer and delivered 10+ invited presentations in international conferences/ meetings/ institutes. She has successfully organized/ played a key role in organizing many international/ national conferences/ workshops/ symposia and training courses.
