Overview

All registered student attendees of PAG Asia are invited to submit a poster abstract for review by the Organizing Committee, which will select up to 8 abstracts for presentation at the PAG Asia 2022 Online conference.

Selected students will be invited to each give a 10-minute presentation in the an online Student Workshop Program and Competition. The chosen winners will also receive a refund of their PAG Asia 2022 registration fee.

Eligibility

Qualifications for submission are the same as those for student registration of the conference—students must be must be Pre-Ph.D (undergraduate through doctoral students) and will be required to upload a letter of certification from their Department Chairperson when registering.

  • Students wishing to apply must be registered attendees.
  • Poster topics must be within one of the poster abstract categories listed online.
  • Previous Student Competition winners are not eligible to apply.

Submission Information

Students interested in submitting to the Workshop Program and Competition must first register for the conference at the student pricing tier. Then they follow the regular procedure of poster abstract submission, and need to select the abstract category “Student Competition” (Please see additional information on Poster Abstracts). 

Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Student Competition Committee, and selected winners will be notified by May 31, 2022. 

Student paper and poster presenters must first register and secure institutional or personal funding to attend the conference. Those students selected to present will be awarded refunds, once they are notified of their acceptance.

Overview

We are no longer accepting submissions. 

Anyone in the global agrigenomics community is invited to submit a workshop proposal for PAG Asia 2022, which will be an online meeting during business hours, China Standard Time (CST/GMT +8).

Workshop proposals for PAG Asisa 2022 should be developed with the intent of appealing to attendees from acoss the Asia Pacific region and beyond, with the goal of fostering development of genomic analysis of agricultural products to sustain the world food supply. PAG attendees are involved in all areas of agrigenomics including next generation sequencing, phenomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, data management, and new technologies. We are especially interested in sessions which focus on, but are not limited to, crop, livestock, and aquaculture genomics, on topics such as:

Overview

All registered PAG Asia 2022 attendees are invited to submit a poster abstract. A poster is a visual resentation where materials in addition to the abstract—such as genetic maps, physical maps, photographs, graphs, and/or tables— are presented along with textual summaries of the material.
 

Online Poster Gallery

Accepted abstracts will be available for viewing in an Online Poster Gallery, where the author can upload the poster image, and a short video with audio narration, in addition to the abstract text data. (Instructions and specifications will be posted online soon.) After the conference, the abstract will remain online in the searchable archives.
